MCPD leads Rakuten’s marketing platform portfolio, enabling internal marketing teams with customer-centric, cost-efficient solutions. We seek a Senior Technical Lead.
Role: Lead the full SDLC?requirements, cross-product architecture/solution design, technical decisions, hands-on development, QA, release, and DevOps/SRE. Ensure scalability/reliability/quality, set engineering standards (testing, reviews, CI/CD, Git), mentor engineers, and lead incident resolution (triage→RCA→fix→prevention) across teams.
Requirements: 5+ years software development; strong backend and microservices delivery in production; Docker/Kubernetes; Java (React/PHP/Python plus); RDBMS (e.g., MySQL) design/performance; strong communication. English required; Japanese a plus. Duties may change; secondment may apply.
